Beautiful and graceful statue delicately sculpted in the form of the goddess 'Guan Yin', who represents protection and compassion in the Buddhist religion. The translation of Guan into Chinese is 'He who considers, he who turns his gaze toward', and Yin means 'call, incantation'.

It's very common in temples in China as well as, under various names, throughout Asia.

This rare statue is offered in its original condition without having been reconditioned and with its original patina.
