Fetishes from the Ada Adan ethnic group in light-weighted wood, with a patina pigmented with kaolin and ochre pigments.
Ada fetishes are ritual objects of the voodoo cult, used by the Ewe and the Dangme of Ghana, who live near the Togolese border.
These are usually materialised by small wooden figures, animals, daily accessories, or stools, etc...
These figurines are responsible for the intercession with diverse deities, invoked in order to offer to the followers, protection, luck and prosperity throughout their personal and family lives, as well as their everyday activities (hunting, trade, ...).
