Tibet, 19th Century.

Mounted in white metal decorated with stylised foliage and inset with turquoise and a coral stones, with a leather loop for suspension

This bag-wallet is coming from very old Dutch private collection, collected in the late 19th century in Tibet.

Provenance: Very old Dutch private collection, collected in the 1900’s by the grandfather of the owner while exploring China in the late 19th century. Mr. Wallace R. Utrecht, The Netherlands.

The wallet with finely embossed and chiselled silver and brass scrollwork fittings inset with a coral.
