Carlos IV (1788 - 1808), beautiful 8 reales silver coin, minted in 1806 at the American mint of Lima (Peru) by the assayer J. P.

‘CAROLUS IIII DEI GRATIA 1806’ (Carlos III by God's grace) inscription around the King's bust, which is facing right.

HISPAN ET IND REX. 8 R · TH. (assayer) (King of Spain and the Indies) around a crowned coat of arms with castles and lions with the pomegranate and coat of arms of the Bourbons, between two columns, on the columns volutes with inscription PLUS VLTRA.
