Thogchags or Thokcha are worn as amulets by the Tibetan and Himalayan people as a means of protection and healing. They can be found in many different shapes and often represent tantric deities, sacred animals, symbols and auspicious mantras. Some of them are rather abstract in their nature and their meaning has long been lost over time.
Bronze alloy with occasional traces of meteorites picked up by the Tibetans and added during the melting process.
