I offer for sale a magnificent Carcharocles Chubutensis from the Chandler Bridge formation, Dorchester county, South Carolina, USA.
This tooth has a shooting red/brown color because of the tannin that was located and the river. This tannin comes from the accumulation of leaves in the river that, as with tea, release their dyes that then colour the teeth. This is really a beautiful tooth with a deep red/brown colour. This tooth has a great tip with brilliant serrations.
There are people who rub these teeth with natural oil, which makes the red color almost copper-coloured. However, this tooth is untreated.
In the past, these teeth were found very often, but now they are found significantly less and become increasingly rare.
