Large head of a boy made by the Paridon Brothers.
In green/bronze look on wooden base.
Marked "GebrvP" and model number 621.
Height incl. wooden pedestal 37 cm.

The Van Paridon brothers were from a known family of sculptors. Initially, the family mainly created plaster sculptures of well-known composers and mythological figures. Later, they switched to making Roman sculptures under the brand name "Paridur". In 1929, the (three) Van Paridon brothers opened a gallery at the Nieuwe Zijds Voorburgwal in Amsterdam: ‘Van Paridons’s Religieuze Kunsthandel’.

The statue is in very good condition.
