Philips - 930A - Tube radio

Very nice Philips design radio from the 1930s. This radio was produced in the Netherlands and is a real eye-catcher because of its shape. This radio has a nickname in the Netherlands, being “the dot”. The cabinet is made of Philite and is in good condition considering the age of the radio. There are cracks or holes in the cabinet, only some normal signs of wear. There is a pale stain on the left side, this is not a restoration or something similar, but a bleached spot, maybe it has always been like this. The radio has the original buttons and back panel, the speaker cloth is not original. The bakelite Philips emblem is not damaged. Everything is still untouched under the chassis, so still the original electronic components from the 1930s. The tubes were tested on a centrad 751 and are still moderate to very good. I have tested the radio by means of a variac an the lights + the tubes lit up. There also was a slight hum. All in all a beautiful radio for the collection or as decoration.
