You are looking at 2 special Japanese vases, probably made during the Meiji era.
Ca 1900
Cast in bronze, beautifully patinated
Richly decorated with birds, fish, trees and flowers.
Not marked.
The vases have a double bottom, of which the lower bottom is made of metal.
Both vases are in good condition. One of the vases has a thin crack in the material, a few centimetres below the rim.

The vases are 35 cm high, and weigh 3 kg each
