This is a beautiful plate! In 2006, Les Humanoïdes Associeés, the third publisher in France at the time, wanted the Franka series again.
I designed new covers with a recurring layout: a large Franka on the left side of the image, with an elaborate setting behind her.
This is one of those ideas: for Moordende Concurrentie, Franka on a Parisian party in honour of Laura Lava’s new collection. Laura and the party on the right side below the chandeliers, to the left a laser show above “les toits de Paris”, of course with the Eiffel Tower. Note Maude and Jean Lacasse on the left side, and the busy cafes in the boulevards on the right side. A great idea!
