Caspari de Geus has spent the last 30 years making portraits of hundreds of visual artists, actors, writers, choreographers and musicians (including Jeff Koons, Bono, Louis Armstrong, Jan Wolkers, Harry Mulisch, Jan Siebelink, Santana, Philip Glass, Miles Davis, Alberto Moravia, John Cage, Dennis Hopper, and Grace Jones). Five winners of the Nobel Prize for literature have posed for him: Derek Wallcott, José Saramago, Günther Grass, J.M. Coetzee and Orhan Pamuk.
Museum Boijmans in Rotterdam, the Stedelijk Museum in Schiedam, the Letterkundig museum in The Hague, the Conservatorium in Utrecht and the Library of Congress in Washington have bought his work.
