After the 1889 World’s Fair, Emile Gallé became a prominent ambassador of crystal in France and abroad. He was the founder of the school of Nancy in 1901. His keen interest in technology and his variations on decorative themes have made him an authority in the field.
Awarded the Grand Prize at the Universal Exhibition in 1889, the World’s Fair in Chicago in 1893, the Decorative Art Exhibition in Nancy in 1894 and the Munich Exhibition in 1897.
