The Tizio 50 was designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide in 1972. The lamp was nominated in 1979 for the "Compasso d'Oro" Industrial Design Award. This lamp, an early version, is currently even part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
The position of the lamp can be adjusted by moving the counter-weights. The lamp can be placed in many different positions. The lamp has 2 different light intensity settings. The dimensions of the lamp are as follows:

Maximum extension (height): 119 cm
Maximum extension (width): 108 cm
