Important Set of Altar ADA EWE AKLAMA Altar Fetishes (Ghana)
26 cm, 25.5 cm and 25.5 cm.
Very beautiful set of Aklama’s from the same Voodoo altar.
Wonderful patina and beautiful antiquity, with some lacks and damages, visible on the pictures.
Although these pieces were very little studied and documented, there is an important publication, exhaustively and richly illustrated. Aklama,Helping spirits of the Ewe and Dangme People from the Study collection of Horst Antes.
Fetishes from the Ada Adan ethnic group, in light-weighted wood with a patina pigmented with kaolin, remains of fabric, ochres.
