Exclusive vase with canework, aventurine and Murrine, entirely handmade (from shaping to decoration) in furnace by the internationally renowned master ‘Mario Costantini’. The vase is made in layers; on the inside, it features a transparent glass base and on the outside, a composition in coloured canes, aventurine and Murrine Millefiori (small miniature glass mosaics, mainly representing flowers). Aventurine glass: also called goldstone, is a glass featuring bright specks, consisting of tiny metallic copper crystals precipitated during the cooling process of the melted substance. For its uncertain and difficult successful production, almost an ‘adventure’, it was called ‘aventurine’ indeed. The secret of the production, lost in the late 17th century, seems to have been found again in the early following century. The vase is a unique piece, signed by the master and complete with a certificate of guarantee.
