Victor Saglier - Saglier et cie, i.s.m. Legras - Vase

Description
Victor Saglier - Saglier et cie, i.s.m. Legras - Vase
France - 1890-1919 - Brass, Copper, Glass, Silverplate

Art Nouveau bowl with décor of Autumn asters. The Saglier brothers collaborated with famous French artists such as De Bigot, Lelièvre, Dalpayrat, Sevres and many others.
They bought glass from Daum, Legras and Pantin to make high-quality fine frames and sell them in their own shop. The sons Eugène and André Saglier took over the business from their father, silversmith Victor, in 1894. This coupe is as usual with Saglier, with an extremely finely processed silver-plated metal frame, where the motif is the same as the motif on the etched glass. Originated between 1890 and 1898 because the glass was purchased from Legras. Signed.
