Most records are on PIR (Philadelphia International Records).

A lot of compositions and productions by Gamble & Huff and with musicians of the house bands MFSB (Mother, Father, Sister, Brother) and TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia).

Teddy Pendergrass was the star of the PIR label. He used to be the singer of Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes. In 1982 Teddy Pendergrass became paralysed from the waist down in a car accident. He died in 2010. (A great documentary from 2018 was recently shown on BBC.)
