Achim Mohné (1964) - aus der Serie 'Safari', Krokodil

Description
Achim Mohné (1964) - aus der Serie 'Safari', Krokodil
C-Print, Gelatin-silver print (PE) - Signed - 6/25 - 2005

The Edition Safari was published in 2005 by the TZR gallery Kai Brückner for the exhibition ‘Versuchsaufbau zur Auslotung ästhertischer Möglichkeiten’ by Achim Mohné. The motif comes from a series of works called Safari, for which Mohné reproduced old slides from an Africa trip.
In doing so, the artist visually and technically anticipates a strategy that was later pursued by Jörg Sasse and others.
Today, Achim Mohné is one of the most famous multimedia artists in Germany. His latest works, the Google Maps Komlex, are once again avant-garde when it comes to the use of digital images.
His early works are a treasure to be discovered.
