Franjou - Pair of pelican bookends
France - 1920-1949
Superb pair of bookends presumably in babbitt, representing pelicans.
Contrasting patina, slightly golden on the flanks and beak.
Full glass eyes, which is rare for this type of object.
White veined grey marble bases.
Both are signed “Franjou.”
They have signs of age wear, cleaning and use, small scratches or pitting, some very light chips on the marble.
Everything is visible on the pictures that are part of the description.
If in doubt, especially because of the automatic translator, I am available to answer your questions.
