Large contact print from the first platinum printing in 2004 on hand-coated Arches Platine 310 paper. Signed and titled, "AP 3/3" under image. Titled, with portfolio info, signed and dated with artist stamps verso.
LaCoe, born into a family of artists in 1932 in Kansas, USA, is a legendary figure among collectors of fine platinum photographs. Inspired by masters Anne Brigman, Edward Weston, Ruth Bernhard, Imogen Cunningham and Judy Dater, he often included nudes in his landscapes. With a superlative eye and excellent technique, he produced many first class photographs. However, it was his commitment to mastery of the platinum technique that make his images so fantastic. He would strive endlessly to get the perfect print and orders placed could sometimes take months to arrive. The wait was always worth it! His prints are technically superb, each by definition unique and with a fantastic tonal range. Gallery price for this print would be over €500.
Purchased directly from the artist in 2004, will be sent by Express Courier.
