Artist’s biography:
Roberto Gorgò (1932-) lives in Carpi (Modena), Italy.
His career as a photographer began in the 1960s with a 6x6 Rollei, following his family’s moves and travels.
Over the years he experimented with colour techniques and frequent change of subjects.
In 1995, after buying a Leica 35 mm, he began to explore black and white photography and felt fascinated by the infrared technique.
Since then and until 2009, he continued to take hundreds of shots with a Hasselblad Panoramic XPan, thus contributing
to the creation of an archive of prints, covering views of the Italian landscape, cities, seas, lakes
and mountains, everything that caught his eye.
The archive assets includes approx. 3,000 prints in 24 x 30 cm format, stored in an acid-free mats.
