Welcome to Passion d'Orient:
Ghom rug in wool and silk: these rugs are made in the holy city of Ghom, in the centre of Iran. The wool used is called "kork wool" and comes from lambs' necks. It allows for very fine and resistant threads, which results in a high knot density. These rugs are wonderfully made and, in some cases, richly detailed. This type of rug is proof of the fine tradition of silk weavers.
