Although he faced long periods of confusion during his reign, King George IV of Great Britain managed to impose his style and taste in the culture of the kingdom thanks to his love of fine arts. Its influence remains in effect today. The monarch's tendency for culture resulted in the artistic forms of his reign being known as works of the "Period of Regency".
