Description
François Théodore Legras (1839-1916) - Verrerie de La Plaine Saint Denis - Vase (1)
France - 1890-1919 - Hand painted blown glass

Art Nouveau period, from the glassware of La Plaine Saint-Denis, this tube vase, bulging base with a green background tinted in the mass, enamelled decor of poppies and gold enhanced motifs, unsigned but attributed to the master glassmaker François Theodore Legras (1839-1916). This model is called "Nancy" in the Répertoire Raisonné of Legras (2002, page 184 and 185). No cracks or chips. The presence of bubbles and a small unimportant defect in the glass make this vase a unique piece. Micro-scratches at the foot and tiny wear of the décor due to normal use. Enamelled decor in relief in good condition. Very secure shipping with tracking.
