This beautiful monograph by Verneau, taken from the collections brought to Europe by Count H. de La Vaulx in the 1890s, is a major work on the Patagonians. A significant research work produced in an expensive way.
It is divided into three sections:

• Etude ethnographique approfondie.

Dream publication of a physical anthropologist, An elaborate study of bones and other artefacts collected by the Count of La Vaulx in the 1890s in the Argentine provinces of Rio Negro, Chubut and Santa Cruz. There are 10 plates of skulls, pelvic bones and femurs, 2 plates of arrowheads and scrapers, 1 of shards of pot and 2 of stones worked.
