Joel Meyerowitz (born 6 March 1938) is an American street, portrait and landscape photographer. He started with colour photography in 1962 and was an early supporter of the use of colour at a time that there was serious opposition to the idea of colour photography as a serious form of art. He taught photography at Cooper Union in New York City in the early 1970s.

His work is among the collections of the International Center of Photography, Museum of Modern Art and New York Public Library, all in New York, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.

A Summer's Day: Colour and light, the passing storm, a girl with freckles, a screened porch - A Summer’s Day - made in 1976-1981. Abundant, dreamy, sun-drenched colours.
