Tielsch Walbrzych - Tea set for 12 - Romantic - Porcelain

Beautifully decorated romantic tea set consisting of: Teapot; Sugar pot; Cream jug; 12 Cups and saucers The crockery set is in excellent condition. The brand name Walbrzych is also the name of the place where the factory has been established since 1845. Back then, Germany. In 1845, C. Tielsch, together with a "silent partner" in Altwasser near Waldenburg, started the second porcelain factory in Silesia (then Germany) under the name Tielsch & Co. This factory had the first commercially successful tunnel oven for porcelain. The factory was taken over by the Hutschenreuther group in 1918 and would remain in Hutschenreuther's possession until 1945. At the end of the First World War, part of Silesia was taken from Germany and added to Poland. The town of Altwasser became part of the municipality of Walburgen in 1920, then renamed Walbrzych in Poland. In 1924 – 1926, the factory was modernised and a Walbrzych brand was first established. In 1939, Silesia was occupied by Germany again and would remain German until the end of the Second World War.
