Friedrich Adler, toegeschreven - cache jar

Special large cache pot with moths. The moths are almost detached from their surface. The stylised floral image on the pot is typical of Friedrich Adler's shape language. In particular the network of the higher "ribs" is something we know from Adler. It is not certain that this work of art is also made by him. Unsigned. No cracks, but on the inside some craquelure. The size of the butterflies is impressive and together with the colours they give a symbolic charge.
