This is a traditional rug from Ben, a small town in the region of Bakhtiari-Chaharmahal very close to the city of Isfahan. Rugs made in this place are very close to the typical style of the region's rugs, known as Bakhtiari rugs. They are distinguished by the unique manner of interpreting the motifs typical of the area.
This is a beautiful example of a Ben rug.
