Caroni 23 years old is a rum from the famous distillery of Trinidad & Tobago, made quite recently by Luca Gargano.

The one that was owned by the state for 84 years - until the government decided to close it in 2002 - saw its notoriety increase suddenly. The reasons of this success ? The purchase of the last barrels by the Italian company Velier - founded by Luca Gargano - particularly skilled around the communication of barrels that he selects.

The rum Caroni 23 years old is a rum vintage of the year 1994. This means that its "juice" comes from a harvest and a distillation both carried out in 1994. Two phases of aging - operated exclusively in tropical environment - succeed.

The first stage of aging was carried out in Trinidad during the first 18 years. The second stage was carried out in British Guiana - "Guyana" - during the last 5 years. Finally, the bottling of this Caroni 23 years old double maturation was realized in 2017, by Velier.

The aromatic profile of this vintage 1994 expresses a personality both fluffy and very generous. Dominant notes of precious wood and pure cocoa.
