Vintage shot of captured German general in 1945 by William Vandivert.
Vandivert was a founding member of the Magnum photo agency in 1947, and went on to have his work published in LIFE and Fortune magazines, among others. His work is held in museum and institutional collections, including the International Center of Photography and the National Portrait Gallery.
