France - 1890-1919 - Hand painted blown glass

Ca 1910. Cristallerie Legras & Cie - St Denis, France.

Magnificent large enamelled vase with a hexagonal neck, frosted orange-yellow background, with a delicately hand-painted decor of a lake-scape with, in sight, large trees and boats sailing on a lake with woodsy hills in the background.
Very beautiful work of this great master glassmaker inspired by his native Vosges forest that he loved so much.

Famous model called “Lamartine”, referenced and authenticated, in the famous catalogue Répertoire Raisonné Legras, “Verrerie artistique et populaire française,” see last photos

In very good condition considering its age, with a really fresh enamel and very bright colours. Note some light signs of age-related wear, nothing severe, which does not affect the charm of this beautiful item, Art Nouveau, early 20th century.
