Art Deco lamp from the1930s in the exact condition in which it was presented at the time, under the reference 425, in the catalogue of Morin et Cie, an ironworker installed in Lyon. This lamp was described as follows: "lampe de chevet, décor vieil argent, dôme de 0,11, hauteur 0,28" (bedside lamp, old silver decoration, lampshade height: 11cm, height: 11 cm)
The old silver décor of the fixtures sold by this company was obtained by the hot pressure of the wrought iron frames which were then polished. This lamp is the perfect illustration of this production technique.
The shell-shaped pressed glass lampshade is signed SONOVER for SOciété NOrmande de VERrerie.
The lamp works with a B22 bayonet socket and a Zeppelin switch. The twisted and sheathed with black fabric electrical cable and the electrical plug are new.
