The 2002 vintage Barbados rum is first aged in bourbon casks for 12 years, before being finished in Cognac casks for a further 3 years. Oodles of spice and fruit, with some rather distinctive pineapple notes coming through on the nose.
The Plantation Trinidad 2003 had distilled in columns and aged in white oak barrels in the tradition of the island, Trinidad expresses a more modern rum. Hinting sweet cakes, this rum was awarded four stars by Paul Pacult, Spirit Journal 2015.
Trinidad 2005 is a single-island rum. This bottling has been aged for 11 years in Bourbon casks in the Caribbean, before a further 2 or 3 years in former Ferrand Cognac casks in France.
