Gijs Bakker is an internationally renowned stylist / designer. He has been designing and making jewellery, furniture and utensils since the 1960s. He and his wife Emmy van Leersum have been internationally acclaimed modern jewellery designers.

Emmy + Gijs + Aldo. Publication by Jan Boelen from 2010 in collaboration with the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen in conjunction with the exhibition that was held there. Besides work by Gijs and Emmy, also work of Aldo Bakker - the son of Emmy and Gijs and also a designer - is included. In this overview of their work, Jan Boelen wanted to emphasise the relationship between designer and object. Text in Dutch and English.
