This special-edition Jack Daniel's commemorates the 150th anniversary of the distillery in Lynchburg. Made to the same mashbill as the famous No.7, this has been released at a higher strength of 50%, adding extra complexity and intensity to the butterscotch and toffee notes.
The view
A special edition requires a special bottle. Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary abandons the iconic Jack Daniel’s bottle to use a vintage American style design. The bottle comes in a special case, which also serves as an exhibitor. In the glass the whiskey is copper.
Nose
Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary has strong notes of vanilla and caramel, as well as fruity notes such as dried peaches, cherries, and citrus peel. We will find spicy touches and a light point of toasted wood.
The palate
Vanilla fills the palate, followed by notes of caramel and chocolate. We will also find fruity notes (peach, orange, baked apples). It is followed by notes of toasted oak with light touches of tannins.
The end
Light and warm, it is somewhat dry and quite long.
