HUBENS & DEGUÉ
A nickel plated bronze or solid brass French art deco pendant by Francis Hubens made around 1930-35. It holds a nice large bowl by Degué done in light pink partly frosted moulded-pressed glass. Francis Hubens was a Paris based lighting manufacturer during the interbellum. With his workshop and showroom at 68 rue des Archives. Hubens primarily used Degué shades for his fixtures. Some models specialy made for Hubens by Degué bear a Hubens signature. The pendant on offer has a 38,2 cm wide Degué bowl. The canopy made in several similar versions was used by Hubens for numerous pendants and small chandeliers. It is represented in the 1935-36 Hubens product catalog which is no part of this sale. The pendant is 49 cm high. It is in excellent condition. I have renickeled and patinated the fixture. And it's rewired with a E27 socket so you can use our modern electrical bulbs. For European countries a bulb will be added. For the US or Japan I will place an American standard socket.
