Meteorite Canyon Diablo

The Canyon Diablo iron meteorites are found within 15 km of the famous Meteor or Barringer Crater in Arizona. The crater is certainly the most spectacular and impressive impact crater in the world. It is relatively young, according to recent data about 50,000 years old, and due to the favourable geological and climatic conditions only slightly eroded. The crater has a diameter of 1186 m at a depth of 170 m.
