GEORGES LELEU
A rare 1933-39 French art deco chandelier by the famous Paris based company of George Leleu. George founded the company by the turn of the century. It closed down in the late 30ies. The shade in thick moulded-pressed glass is mounted in its original fixture out of waxed wood and nickel plated pressed brass. I show a picture of the 1932 and the 1936 G.Leleu posters representing the same bowl. It is signed on the inside of the shade. The chandelier on offer is 38 cm high and the bowl has a diameter of 34,5 cm. It´s in very good condition. I have replated the brass mounting parts. Waxed the wood cleaned the glass and rewired the light. It holds two european E14 sockets. For the US or Japan I will place American candelabra base ones.
