Philips Odyssey 2001 console - in box - 1977
In working condition
Philips game console – Odyssey 2001 – in original retail package with instructions available in several languages.
This Dutch game console originates from the year 1977 and earned a well-deserved a spot in national video game history. The Magnavox Odyssey from the year 1972 was the first real game console for home and consequently Philips had made their own console a few years later. The Odyssey 2001 comes with a few build-in sport games: Tennis, Hockey and Squash. Unlike many other Pong-like devices, the sound of the Odyssey 2001 doesn’t come from the device itself, but from the speakers of the TV.
Notice: The default 9 volt power adapter is excluded from the machine. It has been tested and it works well. To successfully configure the machine, you need to search for the correct channel on your TV.
