Italian aristocratic dance card holder, 1875, Empire style, extremely rare dance card case in Chinese lacquer and silver, completely handmade by a goldsmith in Paris for a member of the aristocracy, whose initials are engraved. It was to hold a notebook, in which dances booked by aristocrats at the royal court (Savoy) were noted. Belonged to a French countess accredited to the Savoy court in Turin. A prestigious and very rare lot, ideal for 19th century fashion museums or collectors.
