The Elena square coffee table, which went into production in 1970, is made of ABS resin. The particular bending of the leg allows the stability of the structure using the resistance system for shape, a design characteristic that Magistretti has experimented with in other concepts, from the Selene chair to the Chimera lamp, whose projects date back to the same years. A particular triangular element, fixed to the base of the legs of the table, and a circular recess repeated in correspondence with the four edges of the top, allow the stacking of several furnishing elements.
