“Testamatta” is a 100% Sangiovese produced by Bibi Graetz in the Fiesole area, not far from Florence. The vines are very old, between 35 and 80 years. The vinification takes place in barriques. Aging in barriques, 10% of which are new, for 24 months and 6 months in the bottle. A purebred Sangiovese, a Tuscan rarity.
At the sight, the wine has a ruby red color, light and bright. The nose shows beautiful hints of red fruit (cherries and black cherries), with hints of leather and spices. On the palate, magnificent sip. Large acidic shoulder and evident tannins. Complex, harmonious, persistent.
Toscana Rosso IGT “Testamatta” by Bibi Graetz goes wonderfully with earth dishes, baked pasta and second courses based on red meat.
