Menno Wigman (Beverwijk, 10 October 1966 - Amsterdam, 1 February 2018) was a Dutch poet, anthologist and translator. His official debut appeared in 1997 under the title “'s Zomers stinken alle steden”. The collection was well received and soon reprinted. Five years later “Zwart als kaviaar” appeared, for which he received the Jan Campert award. In 2012 “Mijn naam is Legioen” appeared and received good reviews. It was reprinted twice within a month. On 26 January 2012 he was appointed city poet of Amsterdam for two years. (Wikipedia)
