Superb Indian ink plate N°3 of the episode of Comanche titled ‘Le doigt du diable’ published by Le Lombard in 1977. A western series which have become a cult series in particular thanks to illustrations by Hermann at the top of his art. Superb staging of the entrance in Greenstone Falls of the procession for the Governor’s election. It features Red Dust talking with the sheriff in his office as the procession arrives. The introduction sequence is followed by a spectacular panel masterfully drawn by the Master taking us inside the procession like a privileged spectator. Beautiful rendering with somehow an American elections 'show' style, still topical nowadays! Dated (‘30/4/1976’) in the junction of the two parts of the plate.
