Solid proto-biface (640 Gr) made from a partially preserved quartzite tuber. The dark part of this tool was above ground and obtained a dark grey patina. These tools are considered transitional pieces between the former chopping tools and the bifaces that were processed all around. Characteristic are the preservation of a large part of the cortex and the minimum of flakes to achieve a pointed shape. These proto-bifaces are not often found in large assemblies.
