The silver coin honours one of the most unique fish in the ocean - the seahorse. The motif on the coin, struck with 1 oz of pure silver (99.9%), depicts a seahorse whose tail is wrapped around part of a plant. The background shows stylised graphics of waves and air bubbles. The design also includes the inscription "Caribbean Silver", the year of issue and the grade. The reverse side displays the coats of arms of Barbados.
