This rare discontinued Kilchoman 2006 Vintage Release is the first official 5 year old Kilchoman.
Distilled in 2006 and matured in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace Distillery, Kentucky, this expression was limited to 11,300.
Nose: peaty with soft fruits and Christmas cake.
Palate: mouth-filling and sweet with cloves, butterscotch and soft citrus.
Finish: peaty, fresh and clean.
Kilchoman founded in 2005. With the first whisky released as a 3 year old Single Malt in September 2009.
Kilchoman (kil-ho-man) is a farm scale distillery, in 2005 the first to be built on Islay for 124 years.
