Original manuscript on parchment from a book of hours, about Job

Handwritten in Angers, France, around 1450-1475.

The text contains Job's answer to Bildad and begins with the exclamation: “How long will you torment me and crush me with words?”

It is known that several illuminators worked on the initials of this manuscript. Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen owns several leaves of this manuscript.

A beautiful initial written in gold on a blue background and text in black ink.

The text and illumination are intact. Remnants of tape in the corners

Leaf size: 14.9 × 10.5 cm and type area: 8.2 × 5.2 cm.

Comes in an acid-free Melinex sleeve.

Will be shipped as a registered parcel.
