"I've been drawing and painting since I was 11 years old. I make many sketches and use these notebooks for my paintings, a synthetic painting in a prismatic spirit"

"I'm very colourist, a little Fauve. I paint mostly landscapes, nudes, but often in curved lines, it's a bit expressionist," says Philippe Hédouin. In his sixties, this passionate painter has already travelled a lot. Originally from Etretat in Normandy, he has been a drawing teacher in Limoges and Toulouse, has visited more than a hundred painting museums in Paris and throughout France, and never misses an opportunity to take part in a painting competition. Even if he has already been awarded a prize, the painter does not seek to compete: "It allows you to meet new people and new landscapes. That's how I discovered the whole Southwest. I remember some pretty little villages in Corrèze or the carnival in Nice." (Le Télégramme, July 2011)
